How Obi GEO works

Obi GEO works through the AI app you already use. You connect Claude or ChatGPT to Obi GEO once. From then on your AI can inspect any public website, and on WordPress with the plugin it can read your site, find problems and draft fixes that you approve.

  1. Create a free account. Go to your account page, enter your email and type the 6-digit code we send. Codes last 10 minutes and work in the browser that asked for them. Your first sign-in creates a free account.
  2. Connect your AI app. Add a custom connector (an MCP server) with the address https://geo.obijuan.dev/mcp. Your app opens a sign-in page; the consent screen names the app and lists what it may do. Guides: Claude, ChatGPT, other apps.
  3. Ask for an inspection. Ask: “Inspect https://yoursite.com and tell me what stops AI assistants from reading or recommending it.” The free plan covers 3 inspections a day, up to 6 pages each. See what the check looks at.
  4. On WordPress, connect your site. Install Obi GEO for WordPress, open GEO → AI connection and click Connect. Sign in, then choose which AI apps may see the site.
  5. Approve the changes you want. Your AI’s suggestions wait in GEO → Suggestions. Approve, edit and approve, or reject each one.

What your AI can do once your site is connected

With the plugin connected, your AI reads your site live, one request at a time. It can:

  • Give you an overview of the site: Clarity scores, open problems, crawler visits and the last weekly report.
  • Read your pages, Brand Facts, backlog, Site Health results and analytics.
  • Search the whole site for a phrase, such as an old email address, and tell you the page, heading and sentence where it appears.
  • Draft services, FAQs, the questions your pages answer, Brand Facts, a primary query per page, and exact text replacements on pages.

What it can’t do

  • Change anything without your approval.
  • See pages or services you keep from AI, or Brand Facts you mark as internal.
  • Reach a site you didn’t choose for that app.
  • Sign in to your WordPress. There are no passwords or application passwords involved.

How approval works

Each suggestion goes through the same checks as the settings screen. A suggestion can’t blank an item or rename it onto another one, and duplicates are refused. When you approve, WordPress saves a revision and writes a change-log line that names the AI app. If the page changed since the suggestion was made, it’s marked out of date instead of being applied.

Text fixes work on pages made with the block editor or the classic editor. Pages built with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks, Oxygen, Thrive, Brizy or SiteOrigin are listed for you to edit in the builder.

Every Monday: a short report

The plugin emails a report every Monday at 08:00, site time, in under 300 words: what shipped, what moved and why, what broke, what’s next, and up to three things it needs from you. Your AI can read the same report and pick up from there.
