What is Obi GEO?
Obi GEO is a service and a WordPress plugin that help coaches and service businesses get understood and recommended by AI assistants. You connect the AI app you already use; it inspects your site, finds problems and drafts fixes that you approve.
What does GEO mean?
GEO stands for generative engine optimization: making your website easy for AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini to read, trust and cite. It overlaps with good SEO. Read the plain guide.
Can Obi GEO guarantee that AI assistants recommend me?
No. Nobody controls what AI assistants say. Obi GEO removes what stops them from reading and trusting your site, and shows you what changes over time.

Coaches, consultants, course creators and other service businesses that run their own website, and the web designers who look after their sites.
Accounts and AI apps
How do I sign in?
Enter your email on your account page and type the 6-digit code we send. Codes last 10 minutes and work in the browser that asked for them. Your first sign-in creates a free account.
Which AI apps work with Obi GEO?
Claude and ChatGPT, plus any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in, such as Cursor, VS Code and Codex. Connection guides.
Do I pay for the AI?
You use your own AI app on your current plan. Obi GEO never bills you for AI use.
What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI apps use outside tools. Obi GEO’s MCP address is https://geo.obijuan.dev/mcp.
The WordPress plugin
Do I need WordPress?
Not for the free check, which works on any public website. Reading your whole site and approving fixes needs the WordPress plugin, now in private pilot.
Does it work with my page builder?
Yes. Every check works with any theme or builder. AI text fixes apply to block editor and classic pages; pages built with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks, Oxygen, Thrive, Brizy or SiteOrigin are listed for you to edit in the builder.
Will it slow my site down?
The heavy work, such as the site crawl and speed tests, runs in the background on a schedule, not while visitors load your pages.
Does it replace my SEO plugin?
No. Keep your SEO plugin. Obi GEO focuses on what AI assistants need: crawler access, clear pages, consistent facts and measurement.
Privacy and safety
Does Obi GEO keep a copy of my site?
No. When your AI app asks about your site, your site answers that one request. Pages you keep from AI never leave your site.
Can my AI change my site without me?
No. It can only suggest. Nothing changes until you approve it in WordPress, and each change is saved as a revision. How the connection is protected.
Where is my data stored?
The Obi GEO service runs in the United States (US East). The data the plugin keeps stays in your own WordPress database. See the privacy policy.
