Connect Claude to Obi GEO

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, add a custom connector named Obi GEO with the address https://geo.obijuan.dev/mcp, then sign in with your email. Custom connectors work on Claude’s Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans; the Free plan allows one.

Steps for Free, Pro and Max

  1. Open the connectors. In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors.
  2. Add a custom connector. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name and address. Name it Obi GEO and enter https://geo.obijuan.dev/mcp as the server URL. Click Continue.
  4. Sign-in settings. Keep the detected settings. Under Authentication choose Sign in now, leave the OAuth client as it is, and click Add.
  5. Sign in to Obi GEO. A page on geo.obijuan.dev opens. Enter your email and the 6-digit code we send, then review the consent page and approve. Your first sign-in creates a free account.
  6. Turn it on in a chat. Click + at the lower left of the chat box, choose Connectors, and switch on Obi GEO.

Team and Enterprise

An owner adds Obi GEO once for everyone: Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web, with the same address. On Enterprise, people with a custom role that includes managing libraries can do it too. Each member then opens Customize → Connectors, finds Obi GEO and clicks Connect, so everyone signs in to their own Obi GEO account and sees only their own sites.

First thing to ask

Inspect https://yoursite.com and tell me what stops AI assistants from reading or recommending it.

If something goes wrong

  • “Couldn’t connect”: check that the address ends in /mcp and starts with https://.
  • The sign-in page doesn’t open: allow pop-ups for claude.ai, then try again.
  • “Code expired”: codes last 10 minutes and must be used in the browser that asked for them. Ask for a new one.
  • Claude doesn’t use Obi GEO: make sure it’s switched on for that chat under + → Connectors, or name it in your request (“Use Obi GEO to…”).
