Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Obi GEO

To connect an AI app to Obi GEO, add a custom connector (an MCP server) with the address below. The app opens a sign-in page; you sign in with your email and approve what the app may do. It takes about two minutes.

Pick your app

Claude

On claude.ai and the Claude apps: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Works on every Claude plan; the free plan allows one custom connector.

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT Plugins: Add custom MCP server, with a public endpoint and OAuth sign-in. Availability depends on your plan and workspace.

Other AI apps

Any app that supports remote MCP servers over HTTPS with OAuth sign-in can connect, including coding tools such as Cursor, VS Code and Codex. Add a remote server with the address above and the app handles the sign-in. Apps that use a JSON settings file usually look like this:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "obi-geo": { "url": "https://geo.obijuan.dev/mcp" }
  }
}

Field names differ between apps (VS Code, for example, uses “servers” and adds “type”: “http”). Check your app’s MCP settings.

What you approve when you connect

  • The consent page names the app and the address it returns to.
  • You choose what it may do: inspect public sites, read guides, read the WordPress sites you pick, and draft suggestions for your approval.
  • For each app you choose which of your sites it can see.
  • You can disconnect an app from your account page at any time.

Things to ask first

  • “Inspect https://yoursite.com and list what stops AI assistants from reading it.”
  • “Which of my pages are hardest for AI to quote, and why?” (needs the WordPress plugin)
  • “Find every page that still shows my old email address.” (needs the plugin)
  • “Draft three FAQ answers from my services page for me to approve.” (needs the plugin)
